I think at maxed out Fist, trees and stone should be punchable. When using a fist weapon, even more so.
Barring that, raising fist should have implications on knockback resistance.
Fist is already a more difficult skill to raise, I think the end reward should be the bruiser that we are all dreaming of. That weirdo who spent months in the mountains punching trees and rocks and is just a freak that doesn't use tools, just punches things for a long time until they bend to his will.
