I believe some Viking era instruments would be really cool, especially something like a war drum to play while riding on one of the long boats. it could either just be a simple loop, a whole song, or possibly just bind keys to notes. I think it'd be a neat thing to be able to keep in your inventory rather than have to place, as some players may want to do a war march towards whatever destination they have in mind.

I second this notion. Or even playing a simple loop in a home or hall to add to the ambience while discussing the next venture of the party.
