Using Surtling Cores to make torches that burn forever

Surt is a fire jötunn in the realm of everlasting fire. Why can't the surtling cores be used to make torches that burn forever then? It makes sense. that it should be a thing. It gets really tiring to farm resin to light up buildings.

The farming of resin isn't that hard in my opinion and I hope they do add tapping trees for it, but I really find it annoying having to bother with the upkeep of torches as well. I don't know if forever is how long they should last but maybe as like a debuff, they don't refund a surtling core if broken?

Like how we find them in crypts...
A metal cup with a core inside.
Would make a good add to the blunt weapons list, too.
Equal to a bronze mace but + a fire dot?
and low item health since it's not a solid.
