So I enjoy difficulty. But I don't enjoy impossibility.
The game modifier to remove maps is certainly a big jump in difficulty, it makes the progression nearly impossible.
Now I'm not saying remove it, there are some crazies that might want to keep that. What I'm suggesting is add another option of removing the minimal, map. But adding a compass.
It could be just a replacement to the minimap or maybe an easy item to craft. (And have its own slot) But it would allow for some small fraction of direction in the big world. Instead trying to find your way home but instead going in one big circle.
Give it some thought.
