Using tools underwater/going under water

Your boi has to build bridges and he can't put support beams far enough under the water because tools get unequipped every time you touch the water deep enough you can swim in. Also we need to be able to go underwater to place more beams down farther too.

I’ll have to find a link for this video but there is a way to slowly build support polls out into deep water.

place a vertical core wood pole as deep as possible then use roof tiles angled from the top down into the water going deeper out.

if you swim under these roof tiles that now go down from above the surface to under the water it will push you underwater as you swim forward. As soon as your feet hit the ground underwater you can equip your tools, and can get at least one build off at the bottom of the water.
It can be tricky since the camera does not follow you underwater so you are somewhat blind doing it.
