Hey I just had an idea for something similar to the cart.

What if there was a plough you can make, maybe with iron and wood. You put it on like the cart and walk over cultivated land.
When you walk over cultivated land it creates those rows in a grid formation over the cultivated land and creates slots that act as snap points.

These snap points will be the ideal distance away for any crop to grow.
When you go to plant with the cultivator the crop snaps onto these snap points.

What do you guys think?

And it could uproot crops if they were ready to harvest

This is an interesting idea, I find it very tedious trying to get spacing right for planting and a square plot with a snap point for planting seems to be a good ides... however ploughs are often pulled by livestock, and the Lox seems to be a bit of overkill for this purpose.

I'd suggest adding a new Meadows creature, the Oxen, which is normally passive unless attacked, but doesn't run away like the deer, but also a lot heartier than deer, if atttacked, they would start running and charging similar to the Boars adn Necks. But make them tameable to be used as mounts or to pull carts and ploughs with Barley, which won't be unlocked until the Plains.
