The walk-through locations are unfortunately very repetitive and do not differ at all from the overworld in terms of content.
It would make sense to provide these similar to Zelda or Skyrim with puzzle tasks, e.g. move boxes, find keys, solve puzzles, at the end to defeat several strong 2 star opponents for the main loot.

NPCs/Towns that give you quests and tasks for gold or especially rare items or trophies. The merchant would need an assortment which is oriented to the find level of the respective character so that one is not immediately OP at the beginning.

It would also make sense to generally look at Zelda a few things. If you are honest completely new ideas you will hardly find, I think this is due to the nature of the thing that every survival game at the end so after the last boss can hardly inspire unless you start again from scratch.

Great idea! At a minimum a pit trap with spike sshopuld be possible yes? We have items that look solid that are not already (banners) so why not a "rug" that you fall through onto some spikes? But always in a section of crypt/chammber thats jumpable if you spot it in time..?
