most fighting styles have gear at most if not all stages with one major exception. fists.
A brawlers options are: fist, flesh rippers. that's it. in this situation if someone wants to play a brawler they must stick with unarmed attacks until the mountains which is easier said than done. to kinda prove this I started a brawler run and I have fist skill 70 so far. Eikthyr is beatable with just fists, albeit rough. the elder required cheese to beat with fists, and I haven't even begun to think about bonemass yet even though he is weak to blunt.
once you have bronze: Bronze knuckle dusters (15 blunt)
Iron: Katar (punch dagger) (35 pierce)
Black metal: Tiger claw (80 slash)
Flamemetal: Gauntlets (100 blunt)
they would still be weaker than most gear in their respective tier but there would be a little chance for a player to be a brawler and actually make it work.
